02 — MY JOURNEY

Learning to build my own path.

My journey began at BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola, and continued through university, migration, curiosity and practical IT learning.

01

EARLY YEARS

Learning to take the first step myself.

My journey began at BAF Shaheen College Kurmitola, but many of the lessons that shaped me were learned outside the classroom.

I grew up as the only child in my family. I had no brothers or sisters, and both of my parents were busy with their professional lives. From an early age, this taught me something that would stay with me for the rest of my life: if I wanted to learn something, solve something, or move forward, I often had to take the first step myself.

At that age, I did not think of it as independence. I was simply learning how to manage things on my own. I learned through observation, experience, mistakes, and trying again. Sometimes there was nobody beside me to immediately show me the answer, so I learned to search for it myself. Those small experiences gradually taught me patience, responsibility, and the confidence to face unfamiliar situations.

02

TECHNOLOGY CURIOSITY

Curiosity that led me to technology.

Computers fascinated me from an early age. I wanted to understand what was happening behind the screen, how things worked, and how problems could be solved.

I did not want to be someone who only used technology. I wanted to understand it.

So I kept exploring and learning. Sometimes I understood things quickly; sometimes I did not. But when something did not work, I learned to try another way instead of simply giving up. That habit eventually became one of the foundations of my interest in IT.

03

UNIVERSITY

A new stage of responsibility.

Later, I joined The Millennium University and studied for my Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance & Banking.

University was not simply about earning a degree. It was another stage of growing up. It taught me to take greater responsibility for my decisions, manage my time, communicate with different people, and continue working toward a goal even when the journey was long.

After completing my university education, I had an important decision to make. I could remain within what was already familiar to me, or I could take a bigger step toward the future I wanted.

I chose the second path.

04

BANGLADESH TO FINLAND

Leaving the familiar behind.

Moving from Bangladesh to Finland for education became one of the biggest transitions of my life.

Moving to another country means more than changing an address. You leave behind the environment you understand, the people you know, your routines, and many of the comforts that have always been around you.

Then you begin again.

A different country, different weather, different culture, different education system, different language, and different ways of doing everyday things.

There were many things to learn, and independence was no longer simply a personal quality—it became part of everyday life.

That experience strengthened something I had been developing since childhood: the ability to adapt, learn, and keep moving forward even when everything around me feels new.

05

BUILDING AN IT CAREER

Turning an interest into a career.

In Finland, I had the opportunity to take my long-standing interest in computers and turn it into practical professional knowledge.

At Business College Helsinki, I studied Information and Communication Technology and developed hands-on skills related to IT support and systems. I worked with areas such as Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Linux, networking, troubleshooting, system support, and cybersecurity fundamentals.

Technology also taught me an important lesson: problems are normal.

A system may fail. A configuration may be wrong. A user may need help. The first solution may not work.

The important question is: What do you do next?

For me, the answer is to investigate, learn, test, solve, document, and improve.

06

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED

One step, one skill, one challenge at a time.

When I look back, I see that my education is only one part of my story.

  • Being an only child taught me independence.
  • My parents' busy working lives taught me to take responsibility for myself.
  • University taught me discipline and long-term commitment.
  • My curiosity about computers taught me to keep learning.
  • Leaving Bangladesh taught me the courage to enter an unfamiliar environment.
  • Living and studying in Finland taught me adaptability.
  • IT taught me that almost every problem becomes easier when you approach it patiently and systematically.

I do not consider my journey complete. There are still technologies I want to learn, skills I want to improve, challenges I have not faced yet, and goals I have not reached.

I am not trying to build my career in one day. I am building it one skill, one experience, one challenge, and one step at a time.

This is not the end of my story. It is simply the next chapter of My Journey.
